Angus was born as a project by an entrepreneur who sought to revolutionize the locally prepared food industry by offering an iconic Argentine dish, the milanesa. The concept of the project revolved around providing consumers with all the conveniences of frozen food, but with a fresh product made with the highest quality ingredients.

 

As a designer, my role involved creating the entire visual identity for the brand, designing packaging for the product launch and creating custom assets for promotion on social media channels.

Initial briefing
and strategy

After initial research, we determined that the best approach for the brand would be to create a strong, easy-to-distinguish wordmark, leveraging the impact of the word “Angus.”

Firstly, the initial letter was crafted, giving it character so that it could be used as an independent symbol. Some simple modifications were made to give it a unique touch, and the rest of the characters followed the same procedure.

Packaging

We went for for a simple approach that didn't require a huge investment from the client but still maintaining an elegant look. We chose a standard cardboard box and designed labels cut on a plotter to apply the brand and product information.

The result? A simple packaging with a premium feel to it, that is eco-friendly and allows customers to return it to Angus for a “refill”.

Product photograpy &
social media collaterals.

After the brand and packaging were done, we also carried out a product photography session, with the aim of creating material to then launch Angus on social media.

We sought to give the product a premium look and feel using dark backgrounds and plates, and integrating spices and other ingredients to convey the freshness of Angus.
