My approach to Minimalism
It is key to determine the essence of things. To put aside material ambitions and focus on the fundamental aspect of life. Minimalism invites me to think in this way, it's not about the material aspects of things, but about the meaning they have for you.
Translating this into graphic design, I would like to become a minimalist designer. Someone who knows how to capture the essence of things, and who can communicate them in the most efficient, refined and effective way. Getting rid of the unnecessary, focusing on the functionality of each element, ignoring everything that does not contribute to a purpose. I consider this way of thinking essential to achieve balance, and to free the mind from all noise, to connect in a much simpler, purer and more powerful way.
I think that's the key. We live in a busy world, saturated with superficialness, which distract us from the essential aspects. It's necessary to clean up all these superficialities, and begin to think about the purpose of everything we do and possess.
